The album title track “Midnight in the City” was inspired by the darkened climate created when the NYC twin towers fell on 9/11/2001. Red was challenged by a fellow artist to write lyrics and music that would express the indescribable feelings of that time: a song that would give voice to the silenced.

Redentor, a.k.a. Red Reyne, was born in the Philippines. Red moved to New Jersey when he was 10, and he’s been here ever since. His love for rock and roll, was fixed after first hearing Hey Jude by the Beatles. As a small boy in the islands, he’d always carry around the words of this song, torn from a lyric book and tucked in his back pocket… a near reminder of how a good song should be written.
Red learned the art form from listening and observing various artists to formulate his own songwriting, arranging, producing and performing style. His words are carefully crafted based on life experiences and common stories with lyrical twists. Reds musical style can be traced back to the grass roots of American folk music and ballads, 50s innocence, 60s pop and classic rock and roll – but Red’s songs are all his own. Red fronts the original rock band, RED REYNE, whom are currently performing in the NY / NJ / PA / MD / VA state area.
